About Us
Deliberate Defense was established to provide the best quality firearms instruction, training, and service available. We currently have five NRA Certified Instructors who have been approved by NM Department of Public Safety to teach concealed carry training, each bringing diverse and dynamic experience to the team.

Rick graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and now works as a Construction Manager for semiconductor facilities. He has worked on projects in several different states and has also worked overseas in France and in China.
Rick competes in USPSA and IDPA pistol matches, USPSA 3 gun and sporting clays events. He is a strong supporter of civilian self defense and believes that good training is imperative to a good outcome in bad situations. Rick holds NRA instructor certifications in Personal Protection in the Home, Basic Pistol, and Home Firearms Safety. He is a New Mexico DPS approved Concealed Carry Instructor.
